Twenty-four Russellville High School students, including the class salutatorian, have received a variety of academic, athletic and community scholarships to attend the University of North Alabama, Northwest-Shoals Community College, Southern Illinois University, University of Tennessee at Martin, Birmingham-Southern College, Hargrave Military Academy, University of Alabama and Jacksonville State University.
Morgan Davis, a cheerleader, won the Josh Green Memorial Scholarship and will attend Northwest-Shoals on a cheerleading athletic scholarship.
Rashad Graham, who played football for the Golden Tigers, received athletic scholarship offers from The Citadel and Tennessee Tech University, but he will attend Southern Illinois University on a football scholarship.
Taz Tillery played football and will attend UT-Martin on a football scholarship.
Seth Fergerson played baseball and football and will attend Birmingham-Southern on a football scholarship.
Shawn Vandiver played football and will also attend Birmingham-Southern on a football scholarship.
Preston Beasley played baseball and received the Robert C. Byrd Scholarship, a Samford academic scholarship and a leadership scholarship to UNA. He will attend Alabama on an academic scholarship.
Marc Dunn played football and signed a football scholarship with Hargrave Military Academy.
JaCey Wilson played baseball and won a Franklin County Cattleman's Association Scholarship. He will attend UNA on a leadership scholarship.
Josh Harbin played football and won a Cattleman's scholarship. He will attend Northwest-Shoals on a G &G Steel Scholarship.
Brett Young played football and received a Cattleman's scholarship and a grant-in-aid to Birmingham-Southern. He will attend Northwest-Shoals.
Madeline Mitchell, a cheerleader, won a Cattleman's scholarship and will attend UNA.
Sasha Willingham played basketball and volleyball. Willingham was awarded the Zeta Scholarship and There's A Way, Inc. Scholarship, and she will attend Jacksonville State on a leadership scholarship to study nursing.
Jordan Dollar played basketball, voleyball and tennis and was the class salutatorian. Dollar won the Mullins Sportsmanship Example Scholarship, Scottsboro Scholar Award (Birmingham-Southern) and a There's A Way scholarship. She also received salutatorian scholarships to UNA, Montevallo and West Alabama. She will attend Northwest-Shoals on an academic scholarship.
Jessica Malone was a cheerleader and played softball, and she will attend Northwest-Shoals on an academic scholarship.
Casey Stockton played football and will attend Northwest-Shoals on a Presidential Scholarship.
Sacora Martinez, a cheerleader, will attend Northwest-Shoals on a performing arts scholarship.
Corey Blankenship played football and baseball and will attend Northwest-Shoals on a Civitans Scholarship.
Patrick Hines played football and baseball and won a There's A Way scholarship and the Mullins Sportsmanship Example Scholarship Award. Hines will atttend either UNA or Northwest-Shoals.
Alyssa Turbyfill played volleyball and will attend Northwest-Shoals on an academic scholarship.
Kara Sykes played basketball and softball and won a leadership scholarship to UNA. She will attend Northwest-Shoals on a softball scholarship.
Nate Montgomery played football and signed an athletic statistician scholarship to Northwest-Shoals.
Kendra Clement played softball and won a There's A Way scholarship, and she will attend UNA.
Lyndi McDuffa played softball and won a There's A Way scholarship, and she will attend Northwest-Shoals.
Haley Long, a cheerleader, will attend UNA on a leadership scholarship.
