RHS boys dominate Brooks

The Russellville boys tennis team improved to 2-0 with an overpowering performance against Brooks on Tuesday in their first home match of the year.
The Golden Tigers dominated the Lions 9-0, losing a total of only five games the entire day.
T.J. Drake led the way with a 6-0, 6-0 rout of Ryocki Takaria at No. 1 singles, and Kiefer Rea cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win over Kyle McAnally at No. 2.
Tyler Malone defeated Brad White 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles, and Anthony Turner earned a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Tyler Castille at No. 4.
John Tyler Hardin was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Taylor Robinson at No. 5, and Jacob Hill completed the singles sweep for Russellville by beating Vollar Halpia 6-0, 6-2 at No. 6.
The Golden Tigers were even more dominant in doubles play. Drake and Hill teamed to earn an 8-0 win over McAnally and Evans at No. 1, and Rea and Malone dropped just one game in beating White and Halpia 8-1 at No. 2. Turner and Hardin handled Castille and Robinson 8-0 at No. 3.
On the girls side, Brooks squeezed by Russellville 5-4.
Calli Davis led the way for RHS, defeating Hanna Black 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2 singles. Olivia Turner (6-0, 6-4 over Jordan Jackson at No. 3) and Millie Fisher (6-5, 6-0 over Sarah Skipworth at No. 6) also won singles matches for Russellville.
Turner and Grace Hagedorn teamed to earn an 8-3 win over Black and Yates at No. 2 doubles.
