Bulldogs sweep Wildcats

Michael Wilson and Lucas Albert each had 12 points on Thursday as Belgreen used a huge second half to rally past Tharptown for a 56-35 win in the first-ever meeting between the two teams on the varsity level.
Trevor Hallmark had 16 points to lead the Wildcats (0-2), who led 14-6 after one quarter and 17-14 at the half.
Belgreen (1-0) took control in the third quarter, out-scoring Tharptown 19-5 to open up an 11-point lead.
The Bulldogs stayed hot in the fourth quarter, out-scoring the Wildcats 23-13 to pull away.
Kyle Warren and Shane Fretwell each had seven points for Belgreen. Manny Ricardo added 12 for Tharptown.

Amy Smith had 14 points and Mary Billingham added 13 as the Lady Bulldogs breezed to an easy win in their season-opener.
Deborah Billingham added 10 points for Belgreen (1-0), which led 18-5 after one quarter and 33-12 at the half.
Jessica Myrick led Tharptown (1-1) with 12 points, and Hollie Hines added 10.
