The Russellville High School boys tennis team will host the Class 5A, Section 6 tournament on Monday, with doubles play beginning at 9 a.m.
"We're very excited about the opportunity to host this tournament," RHS coach Jimmy Rea said. "I'm hoping we'll get the chance to host it for the next three years."
The tournament field includes Russellville, Lee-Huntsville, Buckhorn, Huntsville, Athens and Muscle Shoals.
The top two teams from the sectional tournament will advance to play in next month's state tournament.
"We want to be in that number one spot," Rea said.
Russellville's girls will play in their sectional tournament on Thursday at Huntsville.
Red Bay's boys and girls tennis teams will play in the Class 1A/2A/3A sectional tournament in Florence on Monday and Tuesday.
Monday's action will take place at the Cox Creek Tennis Courts, and Tuesday's matches will be played at the UNA varsity tennis courts on Hermitage Drive.
The tournament field will include Red Bay, Sheffield, Lauderdale County, Lexington, Shoals Christian, Rogers and Mars Hill Bible School.
