Luke Childers went 4-for-4 with five RBIs and Rodney Barnes struck out eight in a complete game on Tuesday as the Vina Red Devils pounded Speake 11-4 for their third straight win.
Vina (6-1) broke open a tie game with six runs in the bottom of the fourth, highlighted by Childers' three-run homer. Kyle Green also homered for the Red Devils, who finished with a season-high 16 hits.
Vina trailed 3-1 before tying the game on Green's two-run homer in the bottom of the second. The Red Devils then seized control with six runs in the bottom of the fourth, highlighted by Childers' blast.
Three walks by Barnes led to a pair of unearned runs for Speake in the top of the first, but the senior righthander allowed only five hits and two earned runs in seven innings.
Barnes also had a good day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with an RBI. Green finished 2-for-3 with a homer and a double, and Randy Barnes was 2-for-4 with a double.
Anthony Hester had an RBI triple, and Corey Scott and Paul Wilkins each added RBI singles.
Max Weeks and Blake Thorn had one hit apiece.
The Red Devils are scheduled to face Berry on Saturday at Vina in the semifinals of the NAC Tournament.
Hackleburg and Marion County will play in the other semifinal, and the two winners will face off in the championship.
