Country Cottage sponsors student award

While there are many rewarding careers in healthcare to choose from, those who dream about entering the healthcare field know that education and training must come first.
Country Cottage Assisted Living in Russellville is sponsoring the Bragwell Massey Scholarship to help a 2006 graduate of Russellville High School pursue their dream of a career in healthcare.
The scholarship is a $250 cash award to be used at the college of the recipient's choice.
The Bragwell Massey Scholarship is named for Country Cottage residents Eugene &#8220Piney” Bragwell and Gladys Massey.
Bragwell, a resident since April 1999, is a native of Belgreen.
Massey moved into Country Cottage in March 1999 and is originally from Russellville. Her 45-year teaching career included many years with Russellville public schools.
Applications for the Bragwell Massey Scholarship are available at Country Cottage, from Judy Pounders at Russellville High School, or on the school website at http://rhs.rcs.k12.al.us.
A committee will review the applications and select a winner based on a short essay, extracurricular activities, grade point average and letter of recommendation. Applications must be hand-delivered to Country Cottage by 5 p.m. on April 5.
