Watershed Project is Explained Here

Establishment of a watershed on Big Bear Creek in Franklin, Marion, Winston and Lawrence counties may be a long and involved process, "but you have nothing to lose as the final decision rests with you," some 175 interested persons were told Monday at the Courthouse Home Demonstration Kitchen.
This fact was brought out in explanatory discussions of the Bear Creek application as farmers of other county areas were told they, too, can participate in similar water control projects simply by making application.
Interstate To Be Open By April 22
The firm of Interstate Box Company will locate a factory in Red Bay in the very near future, according to Garvin Drummond, secretary of the Red Bay Chamber of Commerce.
The factory was obtained through the efforts of Herman A. Cashion, president of the Chamber of Commerce, L.N. Flippo, Charles Cashion, and the Bank of Red Bay in cooperation with the merchants and business men and women of Red Bay, Mr. Drummond said.
