Joe Beasley Awarded Trophy for 4-H Work

Joe Beasley, Alabama 4-H Club president, Red Bay, last weekend was recipient of a silver trophy in Birmingham in recognition of his outstanding leadership.
Young Beasley received the award from Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and the Alabama Theatre at a banquet sponsored by Alabama State Fair Authority.
Veteran 4-H leaders have recognized Joe as one of the most outstanding presidents in Alabama 4-H Council history.
Charles O. Smith Cited in Kentucky for Leadership
A Franklin Countian–who announced purchase of a Russellville hardware store this week–has been named young-man-of-the-year by the Hazard, Ky., Junior Chamber of Commerce.
He is Charles O. Smith, former assistant manager at Watson's who has purchased Hoover Hardware Co., effective Monday.
