The Franklin County Sheriff's Department made an arrest Friday they believe brings to a close a long string of break-ins in the Vina and Red Bay area.
Jeffrey Ryan Davis, 33, of 1046 Franklin 25 in Vina, was arrested and charged with three counts of third-degree burglary, one count of first-degree burglary, four counts of second-degree theft, two counts of third-degree receiving stolen property, two counts of second-degree receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, and unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
Friday afternoon, the Red Bay police received a tip that Davis was in the Village Green apartment complex. After a foot chase, Davis was taken into custody by Sheriff's Deputies and Red Bay police officers.
Investigators said they believe Davis was allegedly taking the items to get money for drugs.
Davis remained in the Franklin County Jail at press time on bond totaling $13,000. The investigation into the case is continuing.
