Franklin County tournament is here!

My, how time flies!
It seems like basketball season just started, but it's already time for the 2005 Franklin County Tournament.
The junior high tournament actually got underway Thursday night with three games at Red Bay High School.
The tournament continues on Saturday with six games, beginning with the East Franklin and Vina B-Junior boys at noon.
The tournament resumes on Monday with semifinal action in the B-Junior boys, Junior girls, and ninth grade boys divisions.
All three championship games will be played on Tuesday, January 11, at Red Bay High School with the B-Junior boys at 5 p.m., the junior girls at 6:15 p.m., and the ninth-grade boys at 7:30 p.m.
The varsity boys, varsity girls and B-varsity boys open play at the Franklin County Tournament next week at the Northwest-Shoals Community College campus in Phil Campbell.
The action begins on Thursday, January 13, and continues through the championship games in each division on Saturday, January 15.
The Franklin County Tourney is always the highlight of the local baskeball calendar, and this year's event promises to be even more exciting.
Red Bay's varsity girls will try to continue their recent domination of the tournament with a seventh straight championship, while the Red Bay boys will be looking to win their third county title in the past four years.
