The Franklin County District Attorney's office will be conducting a bad check round-up on Dec. 16-18, District Attorney Lee Osborn said Friday.
Osborn said anyone who thinks they may have worthless checks in Franklin County should contact the D.A. Special Services Division before Dec. 16 to avoid arrest.
According to a press release from the D.A.'s office, failure to call and arrange payment will result in arrest, "regardless if you have one check or 50 checks."
Osborn said it was "past time" for the District Attorney's office to conduct a worthless check round-up, and said conducting the round-up just before the holidays was done for a reason.
Osborn said the Franklin County Sheriff's Department will assist in the round-up.
