Strickland re-elected EMBDC chairman

Wallace Strickland will serve a second term as chairman of the East Mississippi Business Development Corp.'s board of directors.
The EMBDC board elected Strickland Thursday to a second, one-year term.
Paul Barrett, publisher of The Meridian Star, was elected vice chairman.
Serving on the EMBDC's board of directors are: Marty Davidson, Southern Pipe &Supply Co; Dr. Scott Elliott, Meridian Community College; Jacqueline Hogan, Van Zyverden Inc.; Rick Justice, Rick Justice Pontiac-Buick-GMC; Bob Malone, Acme Realty of Meridian Inc.; Ronnie Massey, director emeritus, Massey Super Mart Auto Sales; Archie McDonnell Jr., Citizens National Bank; Paul Nuckolls, Specialty Roll Products; Brad Robinson, Robinson Electric Supply Co. Inc.; C.D. Smith, BellSouth; and Bud Thompson, Insurance Solutions of Mississippi.
Formed in late 1996, the EMBDC serves as the Chamber of Commerce and economic development organization for the community. A private, not-for-profit organization, the EMBDC strives to be a catalyst and driver of economic development efforts that enhance Lauderdale County's economy and provide sustained growth for the community.
