House Education Committee
to visit local schools

State Rep. Randy Pierce, D-Leakesville, chairman of the House Education Committee, and other members of the House Education Committee are scheduled to visit West End Elementary School on Oct. 13, from 8:30 a.m.-10:45 a.m.
They also will visit several schools across the state during the next few weeks.
Pierce and other members of the House Education Committee will visit a variety of schools performing at different levels to determine what is working and why, as well as what assistance is needed for increased student achievement.
The group already has visited McLaurin Elementary School in the Rankin County School District and Canton Elementary School.
