One Meridian High School student was released from the Lauderdale County jail this weekend after he and another student allegedly forcibly robbed another student on Friday, Meridian police said.
Lt. Dean Harper, a spokesman for the Meridian Police Department, said two male students "robbed another student of some money by force" inside an MHS building on campus, but not in a classroom.
Harper said no weapon was used. Fred S. Graham, 17, of Meridian was released from jail after being charged with strong-armed robbery. Harper said the other student charged is under the age of 17 and will be treated as a juvenile.
