DEKALB Services for Willie E. "Top Peter" Johnson will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Araat Baptist Church in Scooba with the Rev. Marcus Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. E.E. McDonald Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Johnson, 54, of Scooba, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, in Scooba.
Survivors include his children, Theatrice Cherry and Linda Sue Johnson, both of Cleveland, Ohio; two grandchildren; sisters, Dora Mosley and her husband, Eddie, Doela Nicholson, Willie Mae Little and Sarah Fuller, all of Scooba, Fannie Jane Harris of St. Louis, Ill.; a brother, Robert Johnson and his wife, Marilyn, of Scooba; an aunt and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his three siblings.
Visitation will be Saturday from noon- 1 p.m. at the church.
Services for Druecilla Fondren will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Matthew Terrell officiating. Burial will be in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery in Savoy.
Ms. Fondren, 75, of Nashville, Tenn., died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.
Survivors include her sisters, Nancy Ray Fondren and Betla Lee Essix, both of Meridian; brothers, John Henry Fondren of Chicago and D.L. Fondren.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Barbara Ready will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Ready, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Woodrow Jenkins will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Cephus Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Leslie Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Cephus Cemetery. Berry &Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jenkins, 69, of Porterville, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, in his home.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jenkins; 14 children, Glenda Jenkins, Linda McElroy and her husband, James, Timothy McElroy, and Brenda Silliman and her husband, Johnny, all of Porterville, Henry McElroy of Frederickburg, Va., and Willie Jenkins and his wife, Rose, and Frank Certon and his wife, Frankey Mae, both of Lauderdale, Tony Overstreet, Doris Roberts and her husband, Benjamin, Larry Jenkins and his wife, Stephanie, James Brown and his wife, Tina, and Maxine Brown, all of Meridian, Charlene Shaw and her husband, Masia, of North Carolina, and Johnny Martin Jenkins and his wife, Nzinga, of Germany; a brother, Steven Jenkins; two sisters, Dallie Mae of Mobile, Ala., and Jeanett Mosley of Meridian; 59 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Dewitt Braddock, 52, who died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, at Regency Hospital.
Arrangements were incomplete at Enterprise Funeral Home for Ruth H. Hairston, 75, of Meridian, who died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Arrangements were incomplete at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home for Sam "Bolt" Houston, 78, of DeKalb, who died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Arrangements were incomplete at James L. Osby Funeral Home for Jamie Ray McDonald, 55, of Meridian, who died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at Riley Hospital.
Arrangements were incomplete at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home for James "Bruster" Taylor, 47, of Meridian, who died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
