Local officials lifted a "boil water" notice for customers who get their drinking water from the North Lauderdale Water Association in Lauderdale County including customers West of Highway 493.
Water from the system no longer needs to be boiled before consumption, said Lynn Pratt, manager and spokesperson for the water system.
Users were first advised to boil their drinking water on Aug. 11 when the system lost pressure. Tests performed by the Mississippi State Department of Health Laboratory indicate the water now meets the state standards.
