Services for Willie Amos McCoy will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Brown Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Bennie Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Rush Cemetery in DeKalb with Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McCoy, 61, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at the Veteran Administration Hospital in Jackson. He was employed with Magnolia Beverage Company of Meridian.
Survivors include his mother, Nealie McCoy of DeKalb; two daughters, Africa Nicole McCoy of Butler, Ala., and Crystal Carter of Meridian; a son, Timothy Brown of Jackson; six sisters, Pearlie Welch, Belle Jean McCoy, Bertha McCoy and Gussie McCoy, all of DeKalb, Anna Lou McCoy of Meridian, and Dorothy McCoy of Collins; four brothers, James McCoy Jr., Joe Lee McCoy, Bobby Haze and Grady McCoy, all of DeKalb; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
SEBASTOPOL Services for Ola Mae Jim Amos will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Dobey Henry officiating. Burial will be in the Simon Issacc Cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Amos, 47, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her sons, Luther Amos and Dominic Amos, both of Walnut Grove and Keith Amos of Philadelphia; four grandchildren; sisters, Leber Willis of Carthage, Emilee Denson of Walnut Grove and Marilyn Cotton of Philadelphia; a brother, James Ray Jim of Philadelphia and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Yates Jim; a brother and two sisters.
Retired bookkeeper
BUTLER, Ala. Services for Irene Caulk Brooks will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Butler with the Rev. Micah Gandy officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Butler.
Mrs. Brooks, 95, of Butler, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, at Riley Hospital in Meridian, Miss. She was a retired bookkeeper from Western Auto.
Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Brooks Alberson of Butler and Charlotte Brooks Pulfrey of Monroeville; two sisters, Nora Lee Baldock of Campbellsville, Ky., and Anna Martha Wilson of Louisville, Ky.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday 90 minutes prior to the service at the church.
Retired Marshall Fields employee
Services for Wavie Lattimore will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church with the Rev. M.C. Thompson Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Donald Rest Cemetery. Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Lattimore, 80, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at Neshoba County General Hospital.
Survivors include her nephews, Joe H. Latimer Sr. of Meridian and Othel Peebles of Flint, Mich.; a sister-in-law, Effie Lee Latimer of Philadelphia; a niece, Irma Latimer of Meridian and a great-niece, KiAndrea Latimer of Meridian; great-nephews, Arie LeShonn Latimer and his wife, Shuntay, of Florissant, Mo., Joe Latimer II and his wife, Brandye, of Meridian, Marcus Lott of Atlanta and Mario Lott of Augusta, Ga.; an aunt, Annie Latimer of Philadelphia; great-great-nephew, Arie LeShonn Latimer Jr. of Florissant and an uncle, Lacy Triplett of Philadelphia.
Visitation will be today from 3 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Marilyn Allen, 62, of Meridian, who died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
