VanDevender, Perrett

Mr. and Mrs. Jim VanDevender of DeKalb announce the engagement of their daughter, Jan Ellen, to William Payton Perrett, son of Fred and Becky Perrett of Hazlehurst.
The wedding is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004.
Miss VanDevender is the granddaughter of Bonnie Jean VanDevender and the late Waldo VanDevender of DeKalb, and the late Dunk Smith and the late Maxine Smith Winston of Binnsville.
The bride-elect, a 1999 graduate of Kemper Academy, received a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Miss VanDevender is associated with Rush Specialty Hospital, Meridian.
Mr. Perrett is the grandson of Leona Perrett and the late Ed Perrett of Hazlehurst, and Emma Thompson and the late St. Clair Thompson of Crystal Springs.
The bridegroom-elect, a 1999 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School, received a bachelor's degree in premed biology and a minor in business from Mississippi College.
Mr. Perrett is a recruiter for Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
