Services for Mae Roberson Threatt Kirby will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald Gentry officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Bonita.
Mrs. Kirby, 83, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004, at Silver Leaf Manor. She was a member of Eighth Avenue Baptist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Railroad Association. She will be remembered as "Ms. Mae" to many who knew her.
Survivors include her children, John Threatt and his wife, Fran, of Rock Hill, S.C., Sharon Desrude and her husband, Wayne, of Brooklin Park, Minn. and Jo Ann Oubre and her husband, Bill, of Meridian; grandchildren, Brad Threatt, Paul Threatt, Philip Desrude, Dan Desrude, Stacey Davidson, Jodi Oubre, Melanie Harder and Meredith Womack; five great-grandchildren, Maxwell Desride, Morgan Davidson, Lauren Davidson, Audrey Harder and Megan Harder.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Zeb Threatt and Edgar Allen Kirby Sr. and a step-son, Allen Kirby Jr.
Memorials may be made to Eighth Avenue Baptist Church, 801 C Street, Meridian, MS 39301.
Pallbearers will be Ray Davidson, Brad Threatt, Paul Threatt, Philip Desrude, Dan Desrude and Mark Oubre.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

DEKALB Services for Roosevelt Sam Cole will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at New Hope Christian Life Center in DeKalb with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Bass officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery. E.E. McDonald Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cole, 90, of DeKalb, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004, in his home.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Cole of DeKalb; daughters, Essie Ree Brown of Daleville, Mamie Delle Love, Letha Bourrge and her husband, Willie, Catherlean Bohannon and her husband, Sammy, all of DeKalb, Martha Ree Cooley of Flint, Mich.; sons, Roosevelt Cole Jr. and his wife, Jean, and Lavell Cole, all of Meridian, Larry Cole and his wife, Viola, of Belzoni and Ezell Cole and his wife, Mary, of Flint, Mich.; 43 grandchildren; 84 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Minnie Pearl Grady of DeKalb and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time at the church.
SEBASTOPOL Services for Fronie Tubby will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Pearl River Facility Building with the Rev. Travis Willis officiating. Burial will be in Isaac Cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Tubby, 49, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, at Choctaw Health Care Center.
Survivors include her daughters, Tracy Tubby, Erica Tubby and Twana Thomas, all of Philadelphia; sons, Roy Tubby and Eli Tubby, both of Philadelphia; a sister, Ronie Tubby of Philadelphia; brothers, Hilbert Shoemake, Gerald Shoemake, Monroe Shoemake, Bernan Shoemake, and Wilfred Williams, all of Conehatta, and 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Rodney Tubby and her mother, Victoria Tubby.
Visitation will be today beginning at 10 a.m. at 143 Goatranch Road.

Services for Jack Oliver Collins will be held at a later date. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Collins, 81, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He loved history and unexplained events. He was a Christian. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in World War II aboard the USS Conner in the Pacific Theater. He worked for Ingall Shipyard for more than 10 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Yates Collins of Meridian; a daughter, Tracye Phillips of Meridian; sons, Dennis Lee Collins of Lower Lakes, Calif. and David Collins of Mobile, Ala.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

CRYSTAL SPRINGS Services for Maurice L. "Bodie" Malone Sr. were held today at 10 a.m. at Stringer Family Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held today at 3:30 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery in Lucedale.
Mr. Malone, 85, of Crystal Springs, died Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, at Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital in Hazlehurst. Mr. Malone was a native of Lucedale and began his career in 1957 as a purchasing agent at the University of Southern Mississippi. He later served as business manager for the Pascagoula School System for more than 25 years and retired in 1981. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs where he was active in Golden Days. He was an active member of Crystal Springs Lions Club, The Crystal Springs Masonic Lodge where he was a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of the Copiah County Republican Party and active in the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include his wife of more than 60 years, Virgie B. Malone; a son, Maurice L. Malone Jr. and his wife, Karen, of Meridian; daughters, Brenda Young and her husband, Burt, of Crystal Springs and Sherrill Shriver, of Atlanta; a brother, Evern E. Malone and his wife, Ruth, of Lucedale; sisters, Avis M. Taylor and Virginia M. Barnes, both of Hattiesburg; grandchildren, Emily M. Womack, Rachael H. Womack and Maris K. Malone, all of Meridian.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Baptist Children Village.
Arrangements were incomplete at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home for Milford Ray Boler, 55, of Meridian, who died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004, in his home.
Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Catherine Smith, 45, of St. Louis, who died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, in her home.
Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Eleser Hubbard, 88, of Lauderdale, who died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004, at R.P. White Nursing Facility.
