Memory Walk scheduled
to benefit Alzheimer's Association

Plans for the 2004 Memory Walk to benefit the Alzheimer's Association are scheduled to be announced today at a news conference held at Rush Medical Group.
Details of the sixth annual walk, scheduled for Oct. 2, will be announced.
This year's honorary chairperson of the Memory Walk is state Rep. Greg Snowden, R-Meridian, whose mother, Almeta, is an Alzheimer's patient.
Alzheimer's disease is a progressive illness that makes it hard for people to remember things or think correctly.
The goal of the Memory Walk is to raise awareness of the disease.
About 170 walkers joined the effort last year and earned more than $27,800 in donations.
