Pate, Hodges

Tabitha Halli Hodges of Pensacola, Fla., and Michael Andrew Pate of Meridian were married Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, at First United Methodist Church in Pensacola, with the Rev. Larry Mosley officiating.
Parents of the couple are Gregory L. and Joy Hodges of Pensacola, and Larry and Judy Pate of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are Edwin and Elaine Shumate of Meridian, Martha Talbert of Bailey and Wylie Hodges of Collinsville.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Pate, and the late Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Beech.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Rick Branch, pianist; Heidi Branch, flautist; Keri Barksdale, vocalist; and The Penny Shenkel Orchestra.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal candlelight dress with a portrait neckline and cap sleeves. The bodice and skirt were adorned with sequins, pearls and lace. The skirt swept into a cathedral-length train. She wore a veil made by her mother of tulle and lace, and adorned with sequins and seed pearls.
Sarah Gross of Meridian, sister-in-law of the bride, served as matron of honor. Emily Womack of Meridian, served as maid of honor. Other attendants were Zoe Finch of Pensacola, Emile Hagan of San Clemente, Calif., Heather Hodges, Keely Rutledge and Kirby Rutledge, all of Meridian. Rachael Womack of Meridian served as junior bridesmaid.
Kylie Branch, Frances Pierce, Caroline Pierce, Hanna Scott and Reagan Scott, all of Pensacola, and Kasey Rigsby of Meridian, cousin of the bride, were flower girls.
Tanner Hodges of Pensacola, brother of the bride, served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Robert Clark of Arlington, Texas, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Bradley Holt of Iuka, George Huffman of Huntsville, Ala., Kevin Jackson of Hattiesburg, William McCandless of Lillian, Ala., Mark Miles of Haleyville, Ala., Kory Torgerson of Ocean Springs, Brandon Gross of Meridian, brother of the bride, and James Whitehead of Hernando.
Gordon Pierce of Pensacola served as ring bearer.
Acolytes were Patrick Hodges and Nathan Hodges of Meridian, cousins of the bride, and Thomas Pierce of Pensacola.
Program attendants were Michelle Clark of Arlington, Texas, sister of the bridegroom, and Lauren Hodges of Meridian, cousin of the bride.
A reception was held at Seville Quarter Heritage Hall following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Cindy Lewis and Shannon Murphy.
On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the bridegroom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Jackson's Restaurant in Pensacola.
After a honeymoon in Kauai, Hawaii, the couple resides in Starkville.
