Bailey, Steverson

Mr. and Mrs. Leon McClung Bailey Jr. of Ripley announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Marie, to Joseph Forest Steverson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gregg Steverson of Ripley and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Goodman Wiseman of New Albany.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at 6:30 p.m. at Ripley Presbyterian Church.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Leland Ellis "Pete" Elliott of Ripley and the late Helen Tegeler Elliott and Mr. and Mrs. Leon McClung Bailey Sr. of Bailey.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Ripley High School and received a bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2002 from the University of Mississippi. She is pursuing a doctorate degree in physical therapy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
While at Ole Miss, she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority, Golden Key honor society and was on the Chancellor's Honor Roll.
Mr. Steverson is the grandson of Martha Lewellen Shackelford of Ripley and the late Joseph Samuel Shackelford and Maude Steverson of Starkville and the late Forest Edwin Steverson Sr.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of W.P. Daniel High School in New Albany and attended Northeast Mississippi Community College and Mississippi State University.
He is operations manager of Medical Products, Inc., Ripley.
A reception will be held in the home of the bride's parents following the ceremony.
