GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for Julia Opelene Cunningham will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Marion Ball and Al Crawford officiating. Burial will be in Advent Cemetery in Silas.
Mrs. Cunningham, 81, of Souwilpa, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, in Grove Hill.
Survivors include her sons, Perry Cunningham and his wife Lena of Calvert, Larry Cunningham and his wife Mary of Wagerville and Dale Cunningham and his wife Rachel of Leroy; daughters, Helen Turner and her husband Duane of Perry, Ga., Hazel Champion and her husband Fred of Grove Hill, and Brenda Atcheson and her husband John and Linda Atchison and her husband Frank, all of Jackson; a brother, Wayne Doggett of Eight Mile; sisters, Ann Weathersby of Chickasaw and Jason Greer of Huntsville; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Daniel "J.D." Cunningham.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

BAY SPRINGS Services for Sallie Mae Booth will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, with Dr. Joe L. Holloway officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Bay Springs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Booth, 84, of Laurel, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, at South Central Regional Medical Center. She was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Meridian.
Survivors include her sons, James Booth of Laurel, Joe Robert Booth of Farrel, Penn., John L. Booth of Masurg, Ohio, Joseph Bernard Booth of Louin and Richard Thompson of Meridian; daughters, Flonel Talbert of Austin, Texas, Connie Jones of Houston, Texas, and Clem Harrison of Brookhaven; a brother, Joe L. Pickens of Bay Springs; sisters, Elvelyn Crosby of Farrel, Betty Hosey of Youngstown, Ohio, Bernice Banks of Hattiesburg and Flonette Holloway of Magee; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alex Thompson, and her mother, Minerva Bridges Pickens.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Graveside services for Verna Bullock Pratt will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Jones Chapel Church of God. Barham Funeral Home in in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Pratt, 77, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at Riley Hospital.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m.- 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Services for John Estelle Taylor will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Little Zion Baptist Church in Collinsville, with the Rev. Charles Goss officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Taylor, 87, of Newton, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home, with a family visitation hour from 6 p.m.- 7 p.m.
