People's Choice poll closes Friday

Let your voice be heard. Time is running out to cast your ballot in the 13th Annual People's Choice Art Competition on display at Meridian Museum of Art. The last day to vote is Friday.
The competition features 186 works of art by 110 artists from throughout the Southeast.
Judges in the competition are museum visitors. For $1, each person may cast one ballot during the competition, voting not only for the Best in Show winner but also in each of the media categories, which include acrylics, black and white photographs, color photographs, drawings/prints, mixed media, oil paintings, three-dimensional works and watercolors.
The competition climaxes with the awards reception July 10 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.; the winners will be announced at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. The museum is at 628 25th Ave. For more information about the People's Choice or other museum programs, call 693-1501 or e-mail MeridianMuseum@aol.com.
