To better meet community needs, North Park church is currently administering a door-to-door survey to determine how to serve people best.
Members of the North Park congregation have volunteered to administer the survey after work, once or twice a week, and on Saturdays. The surveys are only filled out by those who do not have a church they attend on a regular basis.
Survey questions include:
What do you think are the main issues facing Meridian today?
How could a local church help meet these needs?
When would be your ideal day and time to attend church?
The survey is scheduled to end the first week of July. While door-to-door surveying is sometimes stressful, volunteers say they expect warm welcomes and some good information.
Short-term goals of the program include starting an additional service on a day and time more convenient for those unable to attend on Sunday
morning, and implementing programs suggested by survey participants.
Some sample programs could include cancer and loss support groups, children's programs, a food bank or a variety or others. Long-term goals of the program are to help maintain a more unified and healthy community.
