QUITMAN Services for Irma Ford Shirley will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Crenshaw officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Shirley, 84, of Meridian, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her son, Randy Shirley and his fiance, Patricia Sager of Meridian; daughters, Rebecca Shannon and her husband, Parker, and Kay Beech and her husband, Ronnie, all of Meridian; a brother, Alford Ford of Meridian; sisters, Sallie Kate Sollie of Starkville, Mary Frances Hughes of Prentiss and Margie McCoy of Pensacola, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Ashley Bann, Michael Shirley, Chandra Thornhill, Steven Shirley, Jason Shannon, Lesli Shannon, Rhonda Beech, Tim Beech and Lee Beech; 12 great-grandchildren, Alexa Bann, Abby Bann, Caleb Bann, Amber Shirley, Aaron Shirley, Elizabeth Bann, Katelyn Shirley, Braxton Beech, Hannah Beech, Trey Beech, Cullen Odom and Sabrah Odom.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leo Shirley; a sister, Louise Bunyard; and a grandson, Lance Shirley.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital in memory of Lance Shirley or to Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Visitation will be in today 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside services for Dozier Sosebee will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery with the Revs. Chris Layton and Louis Godby officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sosebee, 61, of Meridian, died Monday, June 28, 2004, in his home.
Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Watkins and her husband, Mark, of Richland; a brother, Odell Sosebee and his wife, Sadie, of Crystal River, Fla.; sisters, Bobbie Mondella and her husband, Dan, Bernice Tomlinson, Vera Love and her husband, Billy, all of Meridian, Frances McGriff and her husband, "Mac," of Shubuta and Audry Godby and her husband, Louis, of Anderson, Ind.; a grandson, Steven Watkins; and an honorary granddaughter, Elizabeth Brandenburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tindra Koyt Sosebee and Beatrice Redmon Sosebee; brothers, Harold Sosebee and David Sosebee; and a sister, Ola Lee Cagle.
Pallbearers will be Terry Cagle, Bruce Tomlinson, Greg Guy, Clyde Roberson, Roger Brandenburg, Carl Sosebee and Dewayne Sosebee.

QUITMAN Services for Louise Carter will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Grand Old Church of God of DeSoto with the Elder Lynn McLaughlin officiating. Burial will be in Tribulation Cemetery in Shubuta. Turner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Carter, 90, of DeSoto, died Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind.
Survivors include her daughters, Lure Lee McFarland and Linda L. McFarland; sons, Elijah James Carter and Alfred Carter Jr.; two adopted children, Mary Kay Parks and Samuel Earl Parks; sisters, Grace Anderson and Willie Bell Hayes; a brother, Earl Finley; 24 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Carter; and three siblings.
Visitation will be Friday 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Ross Franklin Tingle Sr., 83, of Meridian, who died Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home of Newton for Barbara Shock, 46, of Camden, Mo., who died Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
