July 2-3 Meridian High School Class of 1984 is planning its reunion. July 2 will be Hospitality Night with a reception from 7 p.m.-midnight at the Union Station Railroad Museum. July 3 will be the Family and Friends Picnic from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, followed by a banquet and pictures from 7 p.m.-midnight. The cost is $65 each. July 3 The Edward Wright-Katie Belle Wright Bateman family will meet at the Masonic Lodge in Preston for their annual reunion and chicken fry. Bring your favorite foods, drinks, paper products, silverware and chicken prepared to be fried. Also bring any family mementos you would like to share. July 4 The Dan-Azzilee McDonald family will meet at the Nanih Waiya mound house in Winston County for their annual reunion. Bring food and drinks for a potluck lunch at noon. July 10 The 1974 class reunion for Meridian High School will be at 7 p.m. at Briarwood Country Club. MHS class members would like to invite the classes of 1974 from Lamar, Whynot and Jeff Davis to the reunion. Cost is $35 a person.
