Chuck and Donna Spence of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Leah, to Justin Smith, son of Bobby and Carlee Smith of Meridian.
The wedding will be Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, at 4 p.m. at Carmel Baptist Church.
Miss Spence is the granddaughter of Fowler and Genice Garrett of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of West Lauderdale High School and is attending Meridian Community College. She is employed by Lincoln Limited.
Mr. Smith is the grandson of Willie and Ollie Smith of DeKalb.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and employed by Smith's Carpet.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony.
