Maj. Barbara Joseph retires

Maj. Barbara Joseph, who was born in Meridian and graduated from Meridian High School in 1977, retired last year from the U.S. Air Force. In 1981, she graduated magna cum laude from Mississippi Valley State University with a bachelor's degree in sociology.
Joseph entered the U.S. Air Force as a first lieutenant in October 1983. Her retirement ceremony was Aug. 1, 2003. She is the daughter of the late Viola "Honey" Joseph and the late Lawrence Durr of Meridian.
