McDuffie runs away with win at Queen City

One thing is for sure. Jimbo McDuffie has found his line for success at the Queen City Speedway.
McDuffie won the pole in time trials and led from start to finish in the 25-lap feature race of the Late Model Division. It was his second victory in three weeks. A week earlier, he earned his second overall in the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series race that was held at Queen City. Larry Murphy placed second while Randy Walters came in third.
In other feature races:
Pure Street Division: Jason Boleware increased his lead in the track points standings as he claimed victory in the Pure Street Division. Boleware had 1,370 points and a 50-point lead over Kyle Rutledge coming in to Saturday night's race. Boleware led all the way to claim first place. Mitchell Moffett came in second followed by Rutledge in third.
Mini Stocks Division: Billy Ward continued to mount a challenge for lead in the track point standings as he led all the way for his second victory in two weeks at Queen City. Steve Bryam led the division with 1,520 points and a 135-point lead over Ward coming into Saturday's action. He did not finish the race. Bill Bunyard finished second, while Eric Long came in third.
Late Model Stock Division: Phillip Carlisle took the lead in the 11th lap and held on for a victory in the Late Model Stock Division. Mike Shirley led the first 10 laps of the race and finished second, followed by Frank Mazingo.
Cruiser Division: Holly Thrash and Brandon Bishop held off the challenge of Ben and Ronnie Holloman to claim a photo finish at the wire in the Cruisers Division. John and Chris Maggard came in third.
Mississippi Modifieds: It was a disappointing night for the Mississippi Modified Division fans, who watched their favorites drive more laps under yellow than under green. When it was over, Ben Stevens placed first, followed by Bryan Chaney and Michael Blount.
This weekend promises to be a busy one for dirt track fans. The new Magnolia Motor Speedway opens this weekend in Columbus, with the Late Models running on Friday night and the rest of the divisions racing on Saturday night. Also on Saturday, there will be a full slate of racing action at Queen City and at the Causeyville Go-Cart Raceway.
