BUTLER, Ala. Services for Nelson Dexter Evans will be held today at 2 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Camp Spring Cemetery.
Mr. Evans, 53, of Quitman, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, in his home.
Survivors include his brothers, Michael Evans of Fairhope and James R. Evans of Philadelphia and several other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be today from noon -2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Retired minister
NEWTON Services for the Rev. Johnny Mack Boggan will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at New Fellowship Baptist Church with the Revs. David Rives and Gerald Hodges officiating. Burial will be in Old Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Rev. Boggan, 68, of Hickory, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, in his home. He was a member of New Fellowship Baptist Church. He pastored churches at Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Newton, Fellowship Baptist Church in Slaine, Mich., as a missionary, Beat Line Baptist Church in Decatur, and Conehatta Baptist Church. He also worked as a salesman for Morman's Company and Lyntex Company of New York City.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Boggan of the Fellowship Community; his daughter, Cindy Massey and her husband, Jason, of Decatur; sons, John Boggan and his wife, Kelly of Knoxville, Tenn., Greg Boggan and his wife, Renee, of Hickory and Mike Boggan and his wife, Karen, of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; sisters, Joan Koch and her husband, Larry, of Hendersonville, Texas, and Susan Seal and her husband, Larry, of Philadelphia; a brother, Robert Boggan and his wife, Voncille, of Hickory; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Pleasant and Sarah Ellis Boggan.

Pallbearers will be Durwood Hawkins, Stevie Tew, Larry Crimm, Keith Warren, Kenneth Warren and Tom Culpepper. Honorary pallbearers will George Williams and Guthery Stuart.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
Services for Ann Pitts will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. James Ruffin officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Pitts, formerly of Meridian, died Thursday, June 3, 2004, in Monroe, La. She had been an employee of the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department.

DEKALB Services for Rena Bell Felton will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church with the Rev. Marcus Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. E.E. McDonald Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Felton, 46, of Lauderdale, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Tommie Felton Jr. of Scooba; her children, Danielle Hopson and her husband, Willie, of Lauderdale, Christy Graham and her husband, Daniel, of Birmingham, Ala., Veronica Winston and her husband, Benjamin, of Scooba, Toni Brown and her husband, Kelvin, and Tayonda Felton, both of Scooba; seven grandchildren; her father, Sammie Byrd of Scooba; sisters, Hallie Scot and Callie Hall, both of Scooba, Aretna Hardin of Granite City, Ill., Jeanette Jimison of Meridian, Bonnie Cohen and her husband, Eddie, of Centerville, Ill., and Mary Bell Reeves of California; brothers, Sol Jenkins of Shuqualak, Robert Jenkins and his wife, Ruth, and Robert Earl Jenkins, both of Scooba, Sammie Jefferson Byrd of Pennsylvania; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Visitation will be held Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Services for Geraldme Scott will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at St. Peter AME Church with the Rev. Troy Roscoe officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery with Berry &Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Scott, 19, of Meridian, died Friday, May 28, 2004, in Meridian.
Survivors include his mother, Valerie Scott; his father, John Davis; sisters, Lateefa Scott, Tiffany Scott, Ceil Brown, Tracey Walker, Stephanie Walker, Michelle Davis, Sanquinettea Walker, all of Meridian, and Onieka Mills of Tampa, Fla.; brothers, Brandon Scott and Detrick Scott, both of Meridian, John Walker of Milwaukee and David Walker of Jackson.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside services for Orlando L. Edward Jr. will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Jerusalem Cemetery with the Rev. Elder Young officiating.
Infant Edward, 7 days, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at University Hospital in Jackson.
Survivors include his mother, Lasannon Triplett; father, Orlando Edward Sr.; and brothers, Anterius Triplett and Jamarion Williams, all of Philadelphia.
Services for Harry Joe Tew will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home for Willie Lard, 72, of Lauderdale, who died Thursday, June 3, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
