Mathis, Dedwylder

Mr. and Mrs. Amos S. Watkins Jr. of Quitman, and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas V. Mathis of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Kellie LaNae Mathis, to Gregory Neil Dedwylder, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Gordon Gray of Cashiers, N.C., and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald N. Dedwylder of Quitman.
The private ceremony will be Saturday, June 26, 2004, at 6 p.m. at The Cottage Inn Bed and Breakfast in Cashiers.
Miss Mathis is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. V.C. Mathis, Reba Whitley and the late R.C. Whitley, all of Quitman.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Quitman High School. She attended the University of Mississippi where she was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. She received an associate's degrees in marketing and nursing from Meridian Community College where she was vice-president of The Organization of Student Nurses.
Miss Mathis is a registered nurse at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman.
Mr. Dedwylder is the grandson of H.B. Hammack of Quitman, the late Maxine Hammack and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dedwylder.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Quitman High School and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Mr. Dedwylder is employed by Rowan Companies, Inc.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony.
