Shanks, Robinson

Shimeka Danielle Shanks and Jemel Jerome Robinson will be united in marriage on Saturday, May 29, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Grande Ole Church of God in Christ in DeSoto.
Parents of the couple are the late Freeman and Etta Shanks of Carmichael, and Dorothy Roberts of DeSoto and the late Sammy Lee Edwards Sr.
Miss Shanks is the granddaughter of the late Luther and Lillie Barnett of DeSoto.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Quitman High School and is attending Meridian Community College pursuing a degree in physical therapy. She is employed by Ryan's.
Mr. Robinson is the grandson of Louis Spears of Meridian and the late Lilia Davis and Curtis Edwards.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Quitman High School and is employed by Rowan.
A reception will be held at the Quitman Train Depot following the ceremony.
