Grand jury hands down indictments

A federal grand jury has indicted Raimey W. Gryner, charging him with using the Internet to persuade, induce and entice a person he believed to be under 18 to engage in sexual activity.
The indictment, released this week, said the offense happened between March 16 and May 2 in Newton County. No other details were available Wednesday.
The indictment was one of several the grand jury in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi Eastern Division released this week charging people with crimes that allegedly occurred in East Mississippi.
Other charges include the following:
David Lee Jackson was charged with robbing Union Planters Bank, 9217 Highway 19 North in Collinsville, on May 6.
Creshay Dewayne Bennett and Marcus Bennett were each charged with possession of a total of more than 1,500 grams of cocaine hydrochloride with intent to distribute; possession of 48.2 grams of crack with intent to distribute; distribution of more than 100 grams of cocaine hydrochloride; and possession of a firearm while distributing cocaine hydrochloride.
Creshay Bennett also faces two separate counts of felon in possession of a firearm. The charges are from an incident in Lauderdale County Feb. 11.
