Northeast Lauderdale's Jana Olczak became the third Lady Trojan to sign with a junior college program on Friday.
Olczak inked to play for the East Mississippi Community College Lady Lions next season. Northeast's Jennifer Bristow signed to play for Northeast Community College in April, and Amber Gray signed to be part of the Pear River Community College squad last Wednesday.
Olczak pitched and played first base for the Lady Trojans' fast-pitch team, which lost in the second round of the Class 4A playoffs to the eventual state champions, East Central High School. She also played shortstop for the slow-pitch team.
As a senior, Olczak posted a 14-6 pitching record with a 2.01 ERA, and she carried a team-high .356 batting average. She hit four doubles, a triple and notched 22 RBIs.
Moore said she plans to use Olczak in multiple positions next season, rotating her among shortstop, second base and first base. Olczak will also be used a back-up pitcher.
Bristow split time as catcher and pitcher for the fast-pitch team in her senior year, and she played third base for the slow-pitch squad.
In her senior season, Bristow hit .325 with a team-high 26 RBIs. She clubbed three home runs, five doubles and four triples.
Gray stayed on the corners of the infield with the Lady Trojans, playing third base for the fast-pitch team and first base in slow-pitch.
In her senior season, Gray had a .308 batting average with 23 RBIs. She notched a team-leading nine doubles, and she tallied one triple and one homer.
