Humphreys, Williams

Leah Williams of Meridian and Jim Humphreys of Newton were married on Saturday, March 13, 2004, at Jones Chapel Church of God with the Rev. Roy Dabbs officiating.
Parents of the couple are Jack and Sheri Rush and Don and Kathy Williams, all of Meridian, and Jerry and Betty Humphreys of Newton.
Grandparents of the bride are Raymond Fountain and the late Maxine Fountain and Sibyl and Charles Williams and Julia Rush and the late James Rush.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Melba Humphreys and the late James "Sonny Boy" Humphreys and the late Quinion and Becky Jay.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Angie Boatner, vocalist, and Michael Gibson, musician.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
She wore a strapless gown with the bodice accented by crystal and pearl beading. The skirt swept into a chapel-length train that featured crystal and pearl beading along the hemline. She carried a bouquet of roses, lilies and carnations that was tied with a lace ribbon. She wore a veil of silk illusion anchored by a crystal tiara.
Lauren Fountain of Meridian served as maid of honor. Other attendants were Audrey Haralson of Newton, Tiffani Yeager of Meridian and Angela Hinton of Oxford.
Ellie Hinton of Oxford served as flower girl.
The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Danny Wayne Haralson, Timmy Munn, Tyler Normon, Austin Bonds and Lake Thomes, all of Newton.
Rice bag attendants were Abbey Rush and Cameron Rush.
Program attendants were Abbey Rush and Maloree Williams.
A reception was held at the church following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Sarai Clark, Tara Clayton, Amie Clayton and Eryn Skinner.
After a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple resides in Newton.
