Baker, Horton

Dr. and Mrs. James E. Baker of Conroe, Texas, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Marie, to Lucas Blane Horton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Blane Horton of Decatur.
The wedding will be held Saturday, May 8, 2004, at 7:30 p.m. at Shepard Hill Bed and Breakfast Inn in Willis, Texas.
Miss Baker is the granddaughter of Betty Wappler of Groves, Texas, and the late Marvin Wappler and Frances Baker of Baytown, Texas.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Conroe High School and will graduate in May with a bachelor's degree in political science from Mississippi State University.
While attending MSU, she was a member of the Baptist Student Union.
Mr. Horton is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Reeves of Decatur and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Horton of Union.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Newton County High School and is pursuing a degree in communications from Mississippi State University.
While attending MSU, he is a member of the Baptist Student Union.
A reception will be held at the bed and breakfast following the ceremony.
