Robinson, Strickland

Amanda Marie Strickland and William Shawn Robinson, both of Meridian were married on Saturday, April 3, 2004, at Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Chisolm officiating.
Parents of the couple are Maurice Strickland, Glenn and Christy Strickland and Maurice and Laura Robinson, all of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are Marion Taylor "Judy" Long of Meridian and the late Harmon H. Long of Meridian, Edna Strickland of York, Ala., and the late Albert L. Strickland Sr.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Lenita Ann and William E. "Bill" Bruner and Arthur and Sharlynn Raltzell, all of Meridian.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Cindy Barken, pianist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white satin gown with a sweetheart neckline. The bodice was accented with pearl and iridescent sequins. The full skirt swept into a cathedral-length train that was accented with beading along the hemline. She wore a fingertip veil of silk illusion that was anchored by pearl beaded comb. Her bouquet was of gerber daisies, confetti roses, delphinium and matsumoto asters.
Eron Hodgins of Meridian served as maid of honor.
Maria Pierce of Meridian was flower girl.
The bridegroom's father served as best man.
Groomsmen and ushers were Terry Yarbrough of Blue Springs and William E. "Bill" Bruner of Meridian.
Lance Strickland of Meridian was ring bearer.
A reception was held in the church reception hall following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Holly Robinson and Katie Alexander.
After a honeymoon to a private resort, the couple resides in Meridian.
