Join the pothole patrol

By Staff
April 26, 2004
Tired of driving on Meridian city streets littered with potholes that can sometimes cause hundreds of dollars of damage to your vehicle?
Then join The Pothole Patrol,
sponsored by The Meridian Star.
Write down the exact location of the worst pothole you've ever seen or hit in the city with your vehicle. Then call Meridian city officials and tell them about the pothole.
You can reach Mayor John Robert Smith's office in City Hall by calling
485-1927. You also can reach Meridian's Department of Public Works pothole line at 485-1990.
After that, share with us your story and the location of your pothole. We'll compile the information for a future news story, as well as forward the location of the pothole to the city.
All you have to do is call The Pothole Patrol hotline at 693-1551, ext. 3236, and leave your name, phone number and a detailed message. You also can send e-mail to
ThePotholePatrol@hotmail.com.
