Thornell, Currie

James R. and Annette Thornell of Benton, La., and Al and Brenda McDevitt of Paulding announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Robin Thornell, to Steven Lawrence Currie, son of Cecil and Rebecca Currie of Smithdale, and Ben and Melony Webb of Tuscan, Ark.
The wedding will be Saturday, May 8, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church in Meridian.
Miss Thornell is the granddaughter of the late Clifton and Lilly Mae Thornell, William Gordon Lewis and the late Mary Ethel Lewis, all of Vicksburg.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Mississippi State University where she earned a degree in elementary education. She is employed by East Mississippi State Hospital in Meridian.
Mr. Currie is the grandson of the late William R. and Jenny Currie of Meridian, and Steve and Mel Garner of Arkadelphia, Ark.
The bridegroom-elect is employed by Swift Transportation.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony.
