Hendrix, McMahan

Shirley Hendrix, and Mr. and Mrs. James M. Hendrix, all of DeKalb, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Lynn, to Daniel Blaine McMahan, son of Gary McMahan and Elaine McMahan, both of Hattiesburg.
The wedding will be Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003, at 6 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church in Hattiesburg.
Miss Hendrix is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Guy Hendrix of Toxey, Ala., the late James R. Permenter of DeKalb and the late Mary Elizabeth Carroll of DeKalb.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Kemper Academy and received an associate's degree from Meridian Community College. She earned a bachelor's and a master's degree in speech language pathology from the University of Southern Mississippi.
While at USM, she was a member of Diamond Darlings, Student Speech and Hearing Association and the Golden Key National Honor Society.
Miss Hendrix is employed by South Central Regional Medical Center as a speech and language pathologist.
Mr. McMahan is the grandson of Jewell C. McMahan and the late Bryce McMahan, and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Burkett Ross Sr., all of Hattiesburg.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Oak Grove High School and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Belhaven College.
While attending Belhaven, he was a member of the football team and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Mr. McMahan is employed by ERA Real Estate.
A reception will be held at Southern Oaks House and Gardens following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
