Crash on Causeyville Road claims life

The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department is investigating a head-on collision that killed one person and injured two others shortly after midnight today.
Rodney McMullen, 35, 12509 County Road 514, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, according to Maj. Ward Calhoun of the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department.
Calhoun said McMullen was the driver of one of the vehicles and his 12-year-old daughter was a passenger. The daughter was taken to a local hospital and then transported to a hospital in Jackson.
The driver of the other vehicle, Calhoun said, also was injured and is in a local hospital. Calhoun would not release the names of the two injured people.
The accident happened on Causeyville Road east of J.W. Reynolds Road. The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department was notified of the accident through a 911 call at 12:07 a.m.
