Jimmie Rodgers talent winners announced

Here is a look at the winners in the Jimmie Rodgers Talent Show Adult Competition and the Jimmie Rodgers Talent Show Youth Competition which took place Saturday and Sunday at the Frank Cochran Center.
Adult competition
The winners were Amber Wilson, first place, Nesbit; Terra Chancellor, second place, Laurel; and Madison Hardy, third place, Philadelphia.
Adults receiving honorable mention were Jeff Hames of Madison; Kayla Chandler of Laurel; Ashlie Dawn of Florence, Ala.; and Heather Garrett of Meridian.
Youth competition
The first place winner for youth, ages 3 to 5, was Layne Boykin, Waynesboro. The winners in the youth competition, ages 6 to 8, were Hannah Boykin, first place, Waynesboro, and Blake Barham, second place, Meridian.
The winners in the youth competition, ages 9 to 11, were Marisa Potate, first place, Meridian, and Kelli Boulton, second place, Newton. The winners in the youth competition, ages 12 to 14, were Laken Moore, first place, Taylorsville, and Kristie Allen, second place, Meridian.
The overall youth winner was Brandon Fulton of Union. Those who received an honorable mention in the youth competition were Bailee Viverette, Union; Brittany Block, Millington, Tenn.; Cecilee Crain, Meridian; and Steffi Ledbetter, Livingston, Ala.
