ENTERPRISE Paul and Tina Ivy are still cleaning stains from flood waters that destroyed their carpet and some of their belongings last year and Paul said he is waiting for the next time the water comes.
Water from the Chickasawhay River in Clarke County rose steadily last April, leaving many residents with flooded homes and cars. In total, at least 75 homes had water in Clarke County, mostly in and around Enterprise.
Paul said he and his wife didn't receive any state or federal money for repairs because they had flood insurance. But they said they learned the hard way that their flood insurance wouldn't cover the damage they suffered.
The Ivys said it has been a long road to recovery from last year's flood. But they said they are trying to pick up the pieces and move on.
