Weatherford, Gillis

Michele Gillis and Danny Weatherford, both of Meridian, were married Sept. 20, 2003, at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Rhett Payne officiating.
Parents of the couple are Danny and Rita Gillis, and Gary and Linda Weatherford, all of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are Adeline Purvis and the late Curtis Purvis, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Gillis.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Murray Weatherford, and Jewel Smith and the late Raymond Smith.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Lora Tucker, organist; and Carl and Katie White, vocalists.
Pam Jordan of Meridian served as matron of honor. Other attendants were Diane Daggett of Nashville, Ashley Jordan, Dana Robbins and Renee Powell, all of Meridian.
Jesslyn Jordan of Meridian was flower girl.
Lane Miles of Meridian was best man.
Groomsmen and ushers were Craig Jordan, Matt Gillis and Michael Jackson, all of Meridian.
A reception was held at the church following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Joyce Purvis, Jennifer Adcock and Lisa Crawford.
After a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple resides in Meridian.
