Retired boat captain
Services for Joseph Clyde Motes Jr., will be held today at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Swindle officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Motes, 70, of Collinsville died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol L. White and Frances D. Ragan, both of Jackson; two sons, Terrell Motes and Steven R. Motes, both of Collinsville; an aunt, Josephene Pearson of Collinsville; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Sue Willeford-Motes.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Ragan, Jessie Futral, Lujack White, Tony White, Bobby Willeford and Steve Willeford.
Farmer
BUTLER, Ala. Services for John Weston "Johnny" Wimberley will be held today at 11 a.m. at Eureka Baptist Church with the Rev. Edd Holloman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wimberley, 74, of Cromwell, died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Warbington Wimberley of Cromwell; brothers, Bill Wimberley and George Wimberley, both of Mobile, O'Fate Wimberley of Yorktown, Va., and Floyd Wimberley of Butler; a sister, Ann Allen of Cromwell and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Darrin Warbington, Steve McGinnis, W. T. Walters, Lee Allen, Leo Allen and Johnny Allen.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Retired
Services for Murry J. Coleman will be held today at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Marion with the Revs. Steve Jordan and James Guy officiating. Burial will be in Enterprise Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Coleman, 78, of Marion, died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a retired Civil Service Ground Support System employee and was retired from the U.S. Navy. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Marion, Lakeview Golf Course, a Shriner and a Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha Coleman of Marion; daughters, Margaret Ann Delasey and her husband, Joe, of Elizabeth, N.J., Terry Kasafirek and her husband, Allen, of Temple, Ga., Diane Coleman and Jennie Risher, both of Meridian, Debbie Crevitt and her husband, Larry, of Meridian, Heidi Guy and her husband, James, of Demopolis, Ala., and Lori Overstreet of Mobile, Ala.; brothers, Gary Coleman and his wife, Ann, of Marion and John Coleman and his wife, Joann, of Stonewall; sisters, Hazel West of Aberdeen and Olga Walters of Greenwood Springs; 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home for Annie Bell Cotton, 92, of DeKalb, who died Thursday, April 1, 2004, at Mississippi Care Center of DeKalb.
