A call to artists went out months ago for the upcoming 33rd Annual Arts in the Park set to be held at Meridian's Highland Park.
More than 50 artists and crafters, dozens of food vendors and many children's activities will be available to the public at the event, which is held the first weekend in April.
David Griffith of Texas is another Meridian native who will be displaying his artwork.
Each year, the art's council sponsors an Arts in the Park T-shirt contest in which one of the carousel animals is designed for the event's shirt. This year's wining design was the giraffe created by Wayne Rawson.
Royal said all of the food vendors spaces and most of the artists booths and entertainment slots have been reserved, but if someone still wants to participate they can contact her at the Meridian Council for the Arts office at 693-2787 or 485-1944.
