Maurice Strickland, and Glenn and Christy Strickland of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Marie, to Shawn William Robinson, son of Maurice and Laura Robinson of Meridian.
The wedding will be Saturday, April 3, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Central Baptist Church in Meridian.
Miss Strickland is the granddaughter of Marion Taylor "Judy" Long of Meridian and the late Harmon H. Long, and Edna Strickland of York, Ala., and the late Albert L. Strickland.
The bride-elect is a high honors graduate of Meridian High School. She is currently attending Meridian Community College pursuing a degree in dental hygiene and employed by McRae's.
Mr. Robinson is the grandson of Bill and Levita Bruner of Meridian ,and Arthur and Sharlyn Baltzell.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and attended Meridian Community College.
Mr. Robinson is employed by John O'Neil Johnson Toyota.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony.
