Harris, Rushing

Amanda Lee "Mandy" Rushing and John Ernest Harris were married at the Northpoint Red Barn in Jackson on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003, with the Rev. Arthur Comans officiating.
Parents of the couple are Ron Rushing of Navarre Beach, Fla., Vincent and Bonnie Coleman of Ridgeland and Francis Galle and John A. Harris, both of Ocean Springs.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Rushing of Collinsville, the late Margaret Rushing, and Dr. Mrs. H.L. May of Newton and Mrs. S.R. Coleman of Jackson.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Ethel and Penny Cates and Gladys Harris, all of Ocean Springs.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Gail Madden, pianist; and Jennifer Cozort, vocalist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and step-father.
Bridesmaids were Melanie Davis of Jackson, Staci Hardin of Jackson, Jaime Chesney Lawrence of Hoover, Ala., and Laurie McRaney Hill of Clinton.
Groomsmen were Randy Hebert of Ocean Springs, Bill May of Newton, Ken Richardson of Jackson and Brian Smeby of Brandon.
On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was held in the home of Beverly and Perry Richardson of Jackson and hosted by the bridegroom.
After a honeymoon trip in Florida, the couple resides in Ocean Springs where the bridegroom is a firefighter/EMT with the city of D'Iberville and the bride is an EMT employed with Fresenius Medical Systems.
