West Lauderdale posted 11 runs in the third inning en route to an 18-2 victory over the Southeast Lauderdale Tigers on Tuesday.
The Knights kept their record perfect at 10-0 with the five-inning win over the Tigers on a cold, windy night at Tiger Field.
Southeast fell to 2-7 for the season with the loss, in which the Tigers committed nine errors and issued eight walks.
West entered the third holding a 3-0 lead, the Knights sent 16 batters to the plate to close the top half of the inning with a 14-0 advantage.
The Knights scoring outburst was bolstered by five Tiger errors, as West recorded just four hits in the 11-run scoring rally.
Knights designated hitter Paxton Pace, who went 2-for-3 at the plate, highlighted the third-inning offense with a two-run double to left field to take a 7-0 advantage. He also hit a single in the third.
West left fielder Jay Warren and right fielder Parker Temple recorded the other two hits in the third. Both batters notched infield singles.
Knights shortstop Bo Davis, who batted in the lead-off spot, went 3-for-4 with one RBI, and Temple and went 2-for-3 with three RBIs.
West second baseman Tyler Vick went 1-for-3 with three RBIs, and Warren went 2-for-2 at the plate. Austin Davis drove in two runs for the Knights, and Dave Woods, Caleb Dulaney and Michael Pogue each recorded an RBI.
Drew Snider recorded the win on the mound for West, after a shaky start.
The right-handed sophomore walked the first batter he faced and threw three more balls before recording his first strike of the game.
Snider settled in after the first two batters to pitch four innings, allowing two runs on four hits with six strikeouts.
Ricky Gardner closed the game for West, striking out two batters in the fifth inning. The reliever allowed one hit and issued one walk.
Trailing 14-1 in the top of the fourth, Southeast made wholesale changes to its defensive lineup, taking out every player but the pitcher and center fielder.
Bo Davis scored the first run for West in the opening inning. The shortstop reached base on a single, stole second and scored on a pair of Southeast errors.
The Knights pushed their lead to 3-0 in the second with an RBI single from Austin Davis and an RBI double by Dulaney.
Southeast scored one run in the bottom of the third on a West throwing error to cut its deficit to 14-1.
The Knights tallied four runs on four hits in the fourth for an 18-1 lead, with Vick highlighting the inning with a two-run single to right field.
The Tigers capped the scoring in the bottom of the fourth bringing home a run on a fielder's choice by Drew Harper.
Butler, David West, Trey Whitehead and Austin Taylor each recorded singles for Southeast.
